The Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 IS L lens is one I’ve been waiting for. So on today’s episode I Review it and share some test photos.

My Camera Gear:
My review of the Canon rf 15-35mm lens is pretty glowing. I’m so impressed with the sharpness of the glass. And, considering all that it can do, it’s not that heavy. I know that the Canon 15-35mm will be a favourite of most photographers really soon.
On today’s video, I took the 15-35 out around London to make some test photos and give you my review on this new Canon lens.

You should have bought it from Australia. You can usually get at least 15-20% by asking at a camera store and then you get another 10% tax back at the airport.
You also lose the warranty .
Whats theorange metal thing around the camera
still way cheaper to get it in Hong Kong.
https://www.price.com.hk/product.php?p=425465
that's about 2500CAD and there is no tax or duty in Hong Kong.
If you buy something in Australia and are leaving the country you are entitled to tax refund ! Just saying 🙂
What’s wrong with using lens caps? And the canon bag is pretty good for the upkeep of the lens if you plan on reselling it.
It telescopes. Canon dropped the ball on this one.
I don’t think this lens is sharp
What's your metal grip please? It looks great but I can't find any on internet. Thanks!
Sweet lens no doubt but i'm sticking with my 18-35 1.8 Sigma art for my EOS R that things simply amazing.
RF 24-70 please?
I’m a new sub. Great videos so far. I Had to have a look at this one especially though as my Little Brother is in the Welsh Guards and is at Windsor Castle 💂🏻♂️😊
Being a canon dslr eos 7Dii user I am not impressed with the eos R or RP. For me I will be buying the Sony A7iii as it has better IQ, DR, IBIS, and eye detect for people and animals is bloody amazing !
Song from 5:10–6:40? It’s great.
Great stills and video
Even if you save a little extra cash on buying it in a different country. It might kill you in the long run. Each lens is designed for each country with the country warranty. If you damaged that lens someway somehow and send the lens to Canon USA for repair. If it had an Europe warranty the warranty will be invalid in USA because your warranty is in effect in Europe. This will pertain to any Camera gear even if it's not covered under warranty for repair. Don't fall for those tricks that my seem like it would save you extra cash. Accidents happen and when you spend that much on gear you would at least to want it to get serviced in the country that you live in. Some photographers may not believe me and that's fine, but I do work with Canon directly on issues like this quite often and I mange two camera stores with huge national park markets with a lot of international clients
Awesome Review of the lens , but I would try to be clear with issues like this on your reviews.. Especially when photographers drop that much money on gear…….
You should try real London, where kids are being killed for being in the wrong place/postcode, maybe if you said Peace & your words of wisdom it could help them stay alive until their adulthood! I'm sure they could really understand the cost perspective of a lens. You walk around looking like a lemon, you're fresh meat for drive-by moped theft.
…in the morning after just getting out of bed…thats when lego are at their sharpest.
Brendan – Thanks for your take. I've been doing my research on this lens and decided to move forward. Used your link so enjoy the spiff. I've been following you and you get a thumbs up for hard working at your craft.
Thanks
Awesome, the ef 16-35 should see a slight price decrease? 🤨
Nice video. I have the EOSr and consider putting in the Money for the 15-35. It looks awesome! May I just ask you, Brendan. How do you use the flip screen on your EOSr With that L-bracket? You wont be able to flip the screen With an L-bracket, right? I solved it With a plate which can be used in vertical orientation as well, but it`s not ideal tbh. CheersFrank
I can't see any game changing fact on this lens
Your metaphors or comparisons. Hahahaa
Great video. Just for info. The only time the Union Flag is officially called the Union Jack is when it is being flown at sea. The “jack” part comes from a jack being another name for a national maritime flag flown at the head of a ship. The British solder at palace has a welsh leak on collar so is a member of the Welsh guards. Have just subscribed to your channel.
Was watching camera conspiracies channel, and the I saw your channel . I think you were featured on his channel before
Which is that L bracket? It looks cool.
You got some steady hands bro.
Lmao! The sharp jokes are hilarious! Subscribed! 😂👍🏽
Never buy a lens for aesethetics, unless it is a Canon lens! Those RF lenses do look very nice!
What a beautiful lens. Can't wait to one day have one I hope 🙂
this lens seems like the lens to have
Fitted caps
Well done reviewing it. BUT it looks huge and surely contradicts the intention of the smaller mirrorless system. Go figure. If I were going mirrorless wide angle I would buy Nikon's 14-30mm F4 which weighs roughly half as much and currently priced at $1,296 vs the Canon at $2,299. I would only buy a wide-angle f2.8 lens and live with all the extra weight if I were a regular astro-photographer!
Question about being on assignment, did you have to get permission to take commercial photos of the interior? Seems like you ran into problems with filming indoors and wasn't sure if the same problem presented itself with setting up tripods etc…
suggestion….. try a fitted cap
awesome video. looking forward to more videos on using this lens. what is the name an brand of the cage thats on your camera?
have you turned on lens correction in-camera? I have found many default setting wrong to get the most out of it but love my R and 24-105
Yeah but, is it sharp?
Sure he didn't tell you off for the lack of your cap? lol
I absolutely love that you keep those sharpness comparisons coming… I laughed harder and harder with everyone 😀
Glad you didn't get stabbed
New at the shop: Brendan’s approved list of “it’s as sharp as…” comparisons/sayings.
Get it while it’s hot… 🙂
I think you just set a new world record in analogies🤣
I recently rented the 85mm RF. It was stunning. The Canon RF lenses are ridiculously priced if you're not a professional with a decent income from photography. But they do all seem to be breathtaking.
Just come back from UK. This vid a great bit of reminiscing for me. Tisk tisk taking videos in cathedral… “more trouble than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs”. You may add that one to the bottom of your “sharp as” list !
Cheers from Down under 👍🏻🍷❤️🇦🇺📷. BTW great piece of music ❤️🎼
